Anatomy of a Blog Post

Reminder, we are on Day 3 of our Novena! Thank you to all who are joining in prayer.
Now available on the Novena page, epub and mobi versions of the novena prayer for your tablet. Courtesy of a friend!

Some of you have been asking, "who is writing these posts and how exactly is this blog kept up?" Or "where do you get this information?"

We would like to take you through the "Anatomy of a Blog Post", a collaboration of 3 ladies in 3 different states.

MEET THE BLOGGERS

Natalie: Wonderful wife of Thomas and main content source. She is know for her grace, style and amazing editing capabilities.  Coffee lover.

Resident Blogger [RB]: Close friend of the couple who lives in the DC area. Handles more of the literary crafting and sourcing of posts.  Known for her wit and style.  Iced coffee lover.

Interstate Blogger [IB]: Older sister of Natalie (& Thom) who lives out of state. Handles the design, layout, updates and general assistant to RB & Natalie.  Also iced coffee lover.

ANATOMY OF A POST

SKELETAL
For the daily updates, Natalie sends an email filled with both personal and general information to immediate family and RB.  For the weekly updates, RB works through this with Natalie during a weekly visit to the hospital.

MUSCULAR
RB & IB take turns editing & formatting Natalie's daily emails into a more general update.

CIRCULATORY
The newly drafted post gets sent to Natalie for critique and approval.  Once the go ahead is given the writer publishes the post and gets it circulating on the social media outlets.

  1. Absolutely love this!!!! Thank you ALL for taking the time to keep this blog up to date. I have one request - do not skip days. Even if it is just a "Thom and Nat had a quiet day." I (and I am sure everyone following Thom in his recovery) check several times a day to see what Thom and Natalie are up too. Again, thank you!
