Thomas and Natalie have been blessed with many offers of help and requests to come visit. But what Thomas really needs right now is rest and peace and quiet, and time with his wife, his mother, and his mother-in-law.
This is a very very long road ahead, and there will be time, very soon indeed, when visitors are needed -- on a thursday afternoon three weeks or a month from now, after the crisis of these days has passed, and when they haven't had any visitors since Sunday and they really need encouragement and a friendly face.
Right now, Thomas needs quiet and rest.
We assure you that all their corporal needs are being met by their closest friends and family. We will let you know when and how you can help beyond that! We are so so grateful for everyone's support!
In the meantime, you can help with your prayers!
As much as I'd like to come and offer support I understand Thomas needs rest and quiet. I will be there in a few weeks to bring him a cup of coffee (what is his favorite?) in the mean time if I can help in any way please reach out. Many prayers and much love is here for Thom from New Jersey.
ReplyDeletePrayers are lifting for him & the family. God bless you all ...

Thanks so much for these updates. Tell Tom the Catholic blogosphere is praying for a full recovery.
ReplyDeleteThomas peace to you in Christ. The moment i opened my e-mail earlier in the week and heard the news of your accident i was in complete shock. i closed my eyes to pray for healing right away. i immediately saw and felt the presence of Jesus standing over you in the form of divine mercy right away. it was so profound and real...all i could do was repeat the name of Jesus over and over again. He was standing behind your head as you lay in the hospital bed (the best way i can explain it is that he was opening the very essence of his heart to you and grace upon grace was being given to you). i've been praying for you every day since. I have the utmost hope that Jesus desires your full recovery. God bless you and Natalie. Hopefully you get that cup of coffee sooner than later :)
