Thomas is working on regaining his dexterity. We mentioned earlier that he is now able to use an iPad by typing with the knuckles of his pinky fingers. We wanted to show you a picture of what the IT guys rigged up to make this possible. Pretty cool, huh?
Thomas has also been practicing by picking up gummy bears or other small food items and eating them. He is getting pretty good at it!
OT has also been training Thom on how to use a “helping cuff”. This device assists Thom to hold things, like a toothbrush or spoon. He even recently tried a pen!
Thom’s optimism and creativity is a huge bonus and will be necessary in the coming weeks.
Join us in prayer!

This is so exciting! My family and I are keeping you all in our prayers. Keep us updated. :-) Thom's story is inspiring to me in so many ways. Thank you for sharing his cross with me.
ReplyDeleteGod Bless.
Thom - If you think we were excited to see you wiggle your toes, (and we were!), just think how jubilant it makes all of us to see your new "tricks"! God is good! ~ Rosemary in Ohio
ReplyDeleteWe continue to pray as you recover in rehab. It is great that we have so many inventors making life easier for us and aid us in recovery. Thank God for all those who work in the medical field to heal the sick and help them recover.
ReplyDeleteExciting news! All praise to God!
